Scope
Design, manufacture, supply, and deployment of emergency shelter as part of the Australian Government’s disaster response and relief support to Australian communities. The capability supports up to 1,408 beds, including thirty-seven (37) containerised bathroom units with showers and toilets, six (6) accessible bathroom units, and two (2) containerised kitchen/laundry services. Supporting infrastructure includes twenty-four (24) covered outdoor recreation and dining areas, in-facility support services, 110,000L potable water storage, 220,000L sewage storage, and 12,000L diesel fuel storage. Electrical infrastructure delivers a combined 750KVA, configurable across multiple sites and operable on-grid or off-grid. The solution is configurable and scalable to meet many different use cases in the field. 

Delivery Timeline
Contract awarded in October 2023, with initial asset delivery in November 2023. Full capability delivered by June 2024. Storage, maintenance and deployment support extend through to September 2025, with options for further extensions. 

Project, Contract and Supplier Management
A dedicated Project Manager oversees all contractual obligations and maintains the client relationship. Responsibilities include project delivery oversight, team coordination, subcontractor management, and supplier engagement. An internal project management office supports ongoing contract execution and performance delivery. 

Logistics Capability
Turnkey delivery model managed by Humanihut, covering manufacture, procurement, transport, installation, and ongoing asset maintenance. Logistics scope includes combined transport methods, utilising road freight and marine transport via barge to meet geographic and access challenges. Full furniture, fixtures, and equipment delivery included in project scope.
